SCellex is a biotech company developing advanced tools for the single-cell omics field, a key driver of innovation in life sciences. SCellex’s spatial technology is based on patent-pending visual barcoding of single-cell-sized picowells in an array, utilizing random combinations of coloured feature barcode beads. Chips loaded with beads are imaged and AI-analyzed, making them ready for RNA capture directly from tissue sections or single-cell suspensions in a high-throughput manner. This versatile barcoding technology also enables high-throughput multi-omics and functional assays.
SCellex also provides RNA‑seq services for gene expression analysis. RNA sequencing (RNA‑seq) is a powerful and widely used method for unbiased, genome‑wide measurement of gene expression. Unlike targeted approaches such as qPCR, RNA‑seq enables the analysis of all expressed genes in a single experiment, providing a comprehensive view of biological processes and cellular states. With SCellex, bulk RNA‑seq is available at the price level of qPCR, making genome‑wide gene expression analysis accessible for a wide range of research projects.
